The full version is available at the Atelier Wartości headquarters and on the website atelierwartosci.org

We want you to feel safe with Atelier Wartości. Therefore, below we present the most important information from our Child Protection Standards that we have implemented to ensure the safety of all Minors.

I Information

General Standards for the Protection of Minors have been introduced at Atelier Wartości limited liability company, Aleja Parkowa 8, 32-043 Cianowice, KRS 0000804577, NIP 6762571483. All our employees and collaborators must adhere to the Standards for the Protection of Minors and commit to their application. The standards apply to all individuals under 18 years of age and aim to protect these individuals from all forms of harm, including physical, psychological, and sexual violence, as well as crimes committed against them, both by close individuals (e.g., parents) and third parties.

II Responsibilities of our staff. Safe relationships with children

1. Our staff is required to maintain professionalism and respect towards children; all forms of discrimination against children are prohibited, as well as behaviors that may harm children. Our Staff should:

a. treat children with full respect and consideration for their feelings, without belittling, mocking, insulting, blackmailing, or threatening - we strive for you to feel comfortable with Atelier Wartości;

b. allow children to ask questions and engage in conversation

c. be understanding towards children and adjust their communication style to the children (their age, emotional maturity, personal situation);

d. ensure children’s privacy, intimacy, and dignity;

e. use appropriate language in the presence of children (without using vulgar, offensive, or sexually suggestive words);

f. take care to protect the child's personal data;

g. avoid physical contact unless it is permissible (e.g., to provide assistance);

h. avoid establishing relationships with children via the internet (e.g., social media), and contact children using official tools (e.g., business email).

2. If you witness or experience inappropriate behavior from our staff, make sure to report this to another one of our employees. Our employees are obligated to support you if you experience inappropriate behavior from other individuals (including other employees, as well as individuals you are with in our Center and all others) - therefore, in any case where something worries you, you can approach our staff and ask for help.

3. If you are a person with a disability, you can count on special support from our staff. Do not hesitate to ask for help if you need it.

4. In the case of inappropriate behavior from our staff, we will take appropriate action against that person - they may be punished, dismissed, and their behavior may also be reported to the relevant authorities (e.g., the police).

5. Each of our employees has undergone appropriate training and can apply the Child Protection Standards in practice.

III. Responsibilities of our employees regarding responses to child abuse

1. Our staff is required to respond to all circumstances indicating that you may be harmed (e.g., certain behavior, signs of violence, etc.). Our staff has undergone training to help recognize such circumstances.

2. If our staff suspects that you are being harmed, they will notify the person responsible for making decisions regarding further steps in our company (the Responsible Person - you can read more about them in point VIII). The staff member or collaborator will note their observations in your file along with information from your parents or guardians.

3. Our staff will also discuss this matter with other staff members and may contact your parents or legal guardians. If you are experiencing abuse from individuals close to you, our staff may initiate the so-called Blue Card procedure (which confirms that there is violence in the family) and may also notify the family court or police, prosecutor's office.

4. If your life or health is directly at risk, our staff is obliged to call the police.

5. We will take the above actions if:

a. you tell us that you are being harmed;

b. another person or our staff sees that you are being harmed or there are signs that you are being harmed (e.g., they see signs of violence against you).

6. We will also take action if we learn of any harm occurring after the services provided to you have ended.

7. After taking the above actions, if you continue to use our services, we will consider whether a support plan should be established for you. When creating a support plan, your personal situation, emotional needs, age, and specific needs arising from the event that prompted the intervention will be taken into account. The plan may include establishing guidelines for how to communicate with you, as well as conducting further discussions or meetings with you, your legal guardians, or parents.

IV. Rules for using electronic devices. Protecting children from harmful content and threats.

1. Our employees and collaborators use electronic devices (e.g., computers) with internet access according to the rules we have established to ensure safety. Our employees are required, among other things, to use secure passwords, only use company tools, protect personal data, and exercise caution in opinions posted online.

2. Our company ensures the safety of the tools we use. If we provide internet access to individuals present at the Atelier Wartości, we may implement restrictions on harmful content for minors, particularly content that presents dangerous behaviors (violence, death, self-harm, suicide, health-harming behaviors), discriminatory content, hate-promoting content, and pornographic material.

3. We may also conduct additional informational activities among parents and legal guardians, indicating the need to protect minors from harmful content and providing guidance on how to achieve that protection. Recommendations in this regard may also be conveyed individually to the parents and legal guardians of the minor.

4. We do not restrict minors' access to electronic devices at the Atelier Wartości. If you use such devices, you must not disrupt the work at the Atelier Wartości and must respect the privacy of others.

V. Your relationships with peers.

1. Employees and collaborators of the Company are obliged to pay attention to and respond to inappropriate behaviors of minors towards other minors.

2. Children who are in our center must behave appropriately towards their peers and adults. You must treat others with respect and courtesy.

3. The following behaviors are prohibited at Atelier Wartości:

a. using violence or inciting others to use violence in any form or manner, including through electronic means, which applies to physical, psychological, and sexual violence;

b. mocking, insulting, or degrading others;

c. disseminating harmful-dangerous or illegal materials among other children (e.g., containing discriminatory, pornographic content, or depicting violence);

d. distributing images or personal data of others without their consent.

4. Parents and legal guardians cooperate with us to ensure your proper behavior.

VI. Hiring individuals to work with children.

1. When hiring individuals to work with children, we pay attention to their previous experience working with children, as well as whether their previous employment indicates any harm to children.

2. Each person who works with children is checked against the Sexual Offenders Registry, and such individuals must also present documents certifying that they have not been convicted of certain crimes. If you want to learn more about how the verification process works and what documents our potential employee must provide, please refer to the full text of our Standards.

VII. Rules for reviewing and updating the Standards.

These Standards are reviewed and assessed no less than once every two years. We may conduct discussions with employees and your parents or legal guardians in this regard. Based on this, we may introduce changes to the Standards.

VIII. Person responsible.

"In our Company, we have also appointed a person responsible for implementing and preparing our employees to apply the Standards. This person is also responsible for making the most important decisions related to the Standards, as well as for preparing applications to the Police, to the court, or for initiating the Blue Card procedure. This person is also responsible for receiving reports of incidents threatening minors and providing them with support as a priority. However, please remember that your report, or that of your parents or guardians, may reach any of our employees, who will forward it to the responsible person."
