Atelier Wartości and Kraków Airport are launching the #PetCareOnTheGo (#ZNapędemNa4lŁapy) project, which aims to improve the well-being and safety of companion animals.
On World Dog Day, which falls today, Atelier Wartości together with Kraków Airport initiated the first "Pet Care on the Go" first aid kit for dogs and cats in Poland and the world, which is now available to travelers arriving at the John Paul II International Airport in Kraków-Balice.
- August 26 is the perfect date to launch our project and there is probably no better place to present our first aid kit for travelers arriving in Małopolska - informs Beatrycze Bem, Communications Director at Atelier Wartości. - More and more people treat their pets as full-fledged family members. We spend more time with them, we take them to work, restaurants. The number of "pet friendly" places is growing. More and more of us are taking our animal friends on holiday. "Pet Care on the Go" first aid kit in a place like an airport is therefore not only necessary, but also timely..
Our first aid kits for dogs and cats are part of a broader project under the slogan #PetCareOnTheGo, which aims to raise the standards of care and safety of companion animals. The project assumes that yellow first aid kits will be available wherever animals are welcome or are clients, as well as in animal-friendly workplaces.
- Kraków Airport has been taking care of the comfort of animal travel for years. We were the first airport in Europe to introduce dogs providing emotional support for travelers. In 2018, we also introduced a dog run as the first airport in Poland - emphasizes Natalia Vince, Spokesperson at Kraków Airport. Our airport team includes Border Guard dogs, as well as a Sokolnik dog. - The on-duty first aid kit is another step in ensuring the comfort of four-legged airport users. A specially prepared first aid kit for emergencies is available 24 hours a day at the airport information point. Another aspect of the project is equally important to us. By getting involved in this initiative, we can support social economy entities from Małopolska, such as Atelier Wartości.
*** The #PetCareOnTheGo (#ZNapędemNa4lŁapy) project was conceived by Atelier Wartości, a social economy entity from Małopolska. The sewing room, which sews first aid kits for dogs and cats, provides employment to people at risk of social exclusion. The profit from sales is allocated to projects involving local communities and supporting organizations that help animals.
